IN PROCESS - schematic Design concepts

Located on a sloping site directly across from Mt. Diablo, this design reflects our clients’ desire for a simple modern home that captures the mountain view and provides a seamless indoor/outdoor living experience. Clean minimalist interiors were desired with abundant light and the natural warmth of wood floors, ceilings and wall treatments.

To enhance the cycle of natural daylight in the main living areas, the ceiling was lifted to incorporate a band of perimeter transom windows that span both solid wall sections and transparent zones of glass that slide open to outdoor extensions of the floor plan.
